![]() ![]() Because my custom overlays have artificial scanlines built in, if anyone wants me to make ones without the scanlines so that it would display better on CRT TV's, just ask lol. This was done on a 16:9 TV, so I'm not sure how it would affect CRT TV's. Select Overlay Preset, choose one of the new overlays I provided in the download load up RetroArch Wii and choose the Game Boy emulator (gambatte)ħb. Next, scroll down the Core Downloader list until you get to ‘Nintendo Game Boy / Color (Gambatte)’. It was originally introduced in the Wii port of RetroArch in order to provide the console experience, where everything is controlled from a joypad. Start RetroArch, then select ‘Load Core’ and go to ‘Download a Core’. RGUI is a simple built-in GUI for RetroArch. Firstly, you will need to download the Gambatte core in RetroArch. (otherwise things won't have the correct aspect ratio)Ĥ. Step 1 Download The Gambatte Core In RetroArch. This will create a nice curated list on the left, separated by system type. The Bezel Project was released for Windows You can now easily add Bezels Borders to your favorite Retro Games while running them in Mame or RetroArchTh. If you go to 'Import Content' on the left, and then scan your ROM folder, it will automatically add a playlist for each system in the left hand menu. I made borders for existing ones and tweaked stuff around. indianaliam1 PLEASE DONT USE THIS ON AN OLED MODEL Reply reply TheOnlyWelshGuy Really nice work. download the "border overlays.zip" at the bottom of this post.Ģ. This is a portable pack of various handheld shaders. Any text or design elements that are still in the border would burn in more clearly. When stretched to a 4:3 aspect ratio (so in my case 640x480), the Game Boy screen portion approximately became 400x308 - but this tutorial has it at 400x300 because that's the only way I could get everything to work, since because of how RetroArch Wii works, the overlay has to be the same aspect ratio as the actual viewport.ġ. I was disappointed when I found out that Gambatte for RetroArch Wii doesn't have Super Game Boy support (both color and border), but with some tricky manipulation of the overlay system, I have found a workaround.įirst of all, the Super Game Boy borders are 256x224 (typical SNES screen resolution), and the actual Game Boy screen portion is 160x144. I'm a huge fan of using Super Game Boy Borders, to me it just feels wrong to play a GB/GBC game on a TV without a border. ![]()
